Initiated by long time roller Aurélien Laurent (aka AL), the plan was to use to Newpakt skatepark in Sint Niklaas as a huge exposition hall, and present AL’s work to the rolling community. Mixing his passion for photography, rolling, and large stickers, AL printed some of his beautiful pictures on 1,20X0,84m posters which were to be stickied all around the park during the Clash.

Sadly, as you all know, everyone’s plans were to be modified, including AL’s vision for the exhibition. When arriving at the Area 51 skatepark in Eindhoven, he was really impressed by the huge wall covered with graffiti right outside the entrance. He decided to keep it to the streets, exposing his work outside of the park, and therefore gaining a whole new audience.

Sure enough, the exhibition was a success, as on Saturday the whole crowd waited in line right in front of the posters, and 1500 people had a chance to check out AL’s photography throughout the day. Once back to France, the expo was featured at the Salle Petrarque in Montpellier, once again attracting 1500 visitors from different backgrounds over the week-end.

Now, the concept will keep on moving, as different skateshops and places have showed interest in hosting the event, and it might hit your area pretty soon, just as more pictures and artworks from AL will be featured on the website in the future !
