Première date officielle du tour, et découverte du park de Rennes, fraichement inauguré. Pierre Lelièvre nous a rejoint pour la session, et a martyrisé le spot l'après-midi durant. Je ne vais pas faire l'apologie du lapin, tant il sait lui même à quel point je l'apprécie, dans les différents univers où il sait imposer sa griffe si particulière. Fin de session décontractée, best trick sur le joujou d'Alex.

The first official stop on the tour, in order to try out the new skate park in Rennes (FR), freshly opened. Pierre Lelièvre joined us for the session, and killed the spot all throughout the afternoon. I'm not going to praise the rabbit, as he already knows how much I like him, and appreciate his work in many different areas. Chilling and ending the session on Alex's toy.



Mr. White est parti sur ce tour avec une idée bien précise : poser du pornstar dans n'importe quelles circonstances. Enfin, pas exactement toutes (demandez aux Suédoises, pourtant si avide de ce type d'acrobaties). Bref, sur l'ensemble, on aura eu un florilège d'étoiles pornographiques : du top, du true, de l'alley-oop, du zero spin, du stall, en Remz ou en freeskate ! Celui-ci est un true spin top porn, et provient de la session Havraise (FR), en mode battle avec les minots.

Mr. White joined the tour with a mission : lace some pornstar tricks in every situation. Well, not exactly every one (ask the Swedish girls, yet eager for this type of stunts). In short, we got to witness many porn stars on the tour : topsides, true spins, alley-oops, zero spins, stalls, in his Remz or freeskates ! This picture is a true spin top porn and was shot during our stop in Le Havre (FR), on a battle mode with the local youth.



Maxime Kind a vraiment roulé fort tout au long du tour. Du début à la fin, bowl, park, street, polyvalent et motivé le Kinder ! Certains ont qualifié cette image de « séquence de l'année ». Je dirai juste best trick de l'étape du Havre (FR), et un rendu sympa qui permet à l'enfant de s'offrir des plaisirs solitaires égocentriques sur son grand format affiché dans son dortoir...

Maxime Kind really skated well all throughout the tour. From the beginning until the end, bowl, park, street, a versatile and motivated Kinder ! Some called this shot the « sequence of the year ». I would just say it was the best trick of our stop in Le Havre (FR), and a nice result that now allows Max to have some self-centered trips as he framed a larger version up in his bedroom...



Lille (FR) n'était pas sur la liste des étapes, mais restait un passage de rigueur, de par certaines affinités sauce Frenchy Fries... Après une bonne street session, et surtout un énorme Kebab de qualité au désormais très réputé Euro Istanbul, le coucher de soleil réveillera certaines poses boyzbandesques pour Maxime Kind et Adrien Zamora (merci pour l'accueil, et le canapé fontaine) !

Lille (FR) wasn't one stop we really planned, but we had to stop there nonetheless, as it's somehow Frenchy Fries headquarters. After a good street session, and also a giant Kebab at the infamous Euro Istanbul restaurant, the nice sunset brought back a posturing Boys Band couple with the likes of Maxime Kind and Adrien Zamora (thanks for welcoming us on the fountain couch) !



LA rencontre du tour. Un joyeux petit cabochard venu tout droit d'Arizona grâce à Revolution skate shop, et qui nous a accompagné tout au long de cette mémorable vadrouille. Un p'tit gars fort sympathique, toujours motivé pour une session ou une guinguette ! En terme d'échange culturel, il connait désormais par cœur certaines chansons de la playlist diffusée sur la route, d'Alain Souchon à NTM. Cette image a été shooté à Flensburg, à la frontière Allemagne/Danemark, juste avant de faire trempette en mer Baltique lors d'une soirée sur la plage avec les locaux.

The tour's (good) surprise. A funny little bum straight out of Arizona who flew to Europe thanks to Revolution skate shop, and went all the way with us on this memorable trip. A cool little dude, always down for a session or a dancing party ! When it comes to adapting to new cultures, he now knows many songs of the tour's playlist by heart, from Alain Souchon to NTM. This picture was shot in Flensburg, at the border separating Germany & Denmark, right before a little swim in the sea during a nice evening on the beach with the locals.



Konrad Meyer-König est le type de mec que t'as envie de rencontrer en tour. Le genre de mec qui te connait pas, mais qui va t'accueillir à bras ouvert dans sa ville (Flensburg, DE), te préparer une soirée "à la bien" sur le rivage Baltique, et t'offrir l'hospitalité, petit déjeuner compris! Un grand monsieur, en somme. Le cliché provient du couloir de sa résidence, un ancien hôpital reconverti en cité universitaire.

Konrad Meyer-König is the kind of guy you want to meet while on tour. The type of person that has never heard of you, but will welcome you to his city (Flensburg, DE) nonetheless, arrange a nice party on the Baltic shores, and invite you over at his place for the night, breakfast included ! Quite the man indeed ! This portrait was shot in the hallway of his apartments block, which used to be a crazy looking hospital.



Quand Freddy m'a proposé de faire ce tour d'Europe, je dois avouer que l'envie de coller dans les différentes villes m'est rapidement monté au crâne. J'ai donc choisi une sélection de différents personnages que j'avais posé dans l'hexagone, afin de les faire voyager, et rencontrer d'autres populations. Un personnage par jour, 3 semaines de road trip, soit une bonne vingtaine de gens laissés sur la route... Un remerciement tout particulier à la scène graff de Christiania (DK) : « Fuck Street Art ! »

When Freddy invited my on this Euro trip, I must admit the idea of sticking posters up in many different cities quickly came up to my mind. Therefore, I chose a selection of several characters that I had worked on in France, in order to get them to travel a bit, and meet different populations. One sticker a day, throughout 3 weeks of road tripping, something like 20 people left behind on the road... And a special thank to the graff scene in Christiania (DK) : « Fuck Street Art ! »



Après une énorme session à Malmö (SE), qui doit certainement une des étapes qui a ramené le plus de skaters, nous avons eu le grand plaisir de rencontrer ces deux charmantes jeunes filles. Avec une proposition intéressante de leur part : partager une grosse fiesta ainsi qu'un bain de minuit en leur agréable compagnie. Seulement, un obstacle de taille rendait cette aventure périlleuse: le bateau qui devait nous ramener en Allemagne. Deux solutions s'offraient à nous : taper soirée avec les locaux, et prendre la mer au petit matin, ou alors ne pas prendre de risque, et tracer directement. Freddy White n'aime pas le risque.

After quite a huge session in Malmö (SE), arguably one of the stops that brought the most skaters together, we had the pleasure to meet those two nice girls. With an interesting offer on their part : party together and enjoy a midnight swim with them. However, there was another issue to be dealt with: the boat that was going to get us back to Germany. We gad two options: enjoy the party with the local forces, and get onboard at dawn, or choose the safest option and leave before the night. Freddy White doesn't like risky adventures.



Prague (CZ) fut certainement la plus belle ville du périple. Une architecture à vous faire tomber à la renverse, des femmes somptueuses à vous en relever, et une atmosphère douce et harmonieuse. On croisera des cabochards en mode Interrail, en la personne de Rémy Meister, accompagné de sa dulcinée Orphée et de leur gamin d'adoption, Bouga. Ce dernier nous gratifiera d'un long Backside UFO, en route vers la gare, en un lendemain de cuite constant, et plutôt persistant...

Prag (CZ) was probably the most beautiful city on our trip. An architecture that will make you fall down on your ass, incredible women to get you back up, and a suave and harmonious atmosphere. We met up with great friends that were on their own railroad trip : Rémy Meister, along with his wife Orphée and their adoptive children Bouga. The latter graced us with a long Backside UFO, on his way to the train station, on a hard and persistent hungover day.



Le skater le plus médiatisé de la tournée, avec un parallèle pénétrant ses désirs les plus ardents à Prague (CZ). Bulle, ou le passage obligé de n'importe quel road trip. Jack Neveu, ou le savoir faire de l'accueil par excellence. La Suisse, ses montagnes, ses lacs, parfait pays pour se poser, et renflouer la fougue qui nous tenait debout jusque là. Petite session au park de Bulle, où nous ont rejoint Thomas Augereau, Wilson Ernadote et Yoan Bobillon. Jack, gardien du Temple, disaster true mizou.

Bulle, a mandatory stop for every road trip. Jack Neveu, a master when it comes to making you feel welcome. Switzerland, the mountains, the lakes : a perfect place to settle down for a while, and get the juice flowing again to keep going. We had a cool session in Bulle's skate park, where we were joined by Thomas Augereau, Wilson Ernadote and Yoan Bobillon. Jack, the temple guardian, with a disaster true mizou.



Je n'avais pas pu me rendre au contest de Bulle en 2009, en raison d'un road trip au Portugal. Je m'en veux encore, à la vue des images de cet événement incontournable. Notamment Mathieu Heinemann qui allait dunker ce panier installé pour l'occasion. Maxime Kind le roulera à sa manière, alley-oop soul stall, trois points !!!

I couldn't attend the infamous Bulle contest this past year, as I was already on tour in Portugal. I still wish I was there though, since I saw the edits of this legendary event, and Mathieu Heinemann in particular who dunked the basket set up for the occasion. Maxime Kind skated the spot in his own way : alley-oop soul stall, three pointer !!!



Wilson Ernadote nous a rejoint en fin de tour. Ce fut une belle surprise de voir ce jeune gaillard débarquer à Bulle, et apporter un peu de fraicheur dans nos sessions, qui se faisaient de plus en plus éreintantes. Gardez un œil sur ce phénomène, qui pourrait bien être une des révélations 2010 ! Sweatstance à la bien, Fribourg (CH).

Wilson Ernadote joined us on the end of the tour. It was a great surprise to see this young lad meet up with us in Bulle, bringing a refreshing motivation to our sessions as they were becoming harder and harder on our bodies. Keep an eye on this young phenomenon, he could be one of the chosen few in 2010 ! Steezed-out sweatstance in Fribourg (CH).



Depuis le temps qu'on nous parlait du nouveau bowl de Crolles, on a voulu vérifier par nous même l'ampleur du bordel. Résultat : des courbes vraiment stylées, de quoi faire des lignes bien construites, un environnement adéquat, et des gardiens du temple plus que frustrés de voir leur beau bébé visité par des étrangers avides de désirs malsains. En effet, Casey a rencontré quelques difficultés pour rentrer ce transfert en disaster soul sorti de nulle part, tant les skateboarders locaux ne permettent pas la moindre insertion en leur forteresse doré... Il terminera donc ses tentatives avec un genou en moins. Et une vision compliquée de la relation Rollo/Skateboard dans l'hexagone.

We had heard a lot of good things of this new bowl in Crolles, so we stopped there to see for ourselves. It didn't disappoint : some great transitions, stuff to skate some interesting lines in a beautiful environment, and local boarders that weren't too pleased to see some nasty out-of-towners visiting their home spot. Casey had some trouble landing this out-of-nowhere disaster soul grind indeed, as the locals didn't let anyone invade their golden fortress... And blew his knee in the process, ending up with an insight on the complicated relations between bladers and boarders in France.
