Je pense que vous connaissez tous la célèbre affiche «Hope», illustrant la campagne présidentielle de Barack Obama. Shepard Fairey est aussi connu pour son image du célèbre catcheur André The Giant, sous le nom de Obey !
Je vous propose d'en connaitre plus sur son processus créatif grâce à cette vidéo.

Depuis le lancement de Frenchy Fries, Mr. Samsofy a souvent contribué au contenu du site, avec par exemple un article photo complet sur Lyon (France), ou bien encore quelques magnifiques clichés pour notre report photo sur le FISE. Il est donc grand temps d'en apprendre plus sur ce personnage, et de découvrir l'homme, sa vie et son oeuvre ! Enjoy !
Since Frenchy Fries started, Mr. Samsofy has contributed a lot to the content of the site, with a full photo article in Lyon (France), and some really cool shots for our FISE photo report for instance. It's only justice that we now get to know him more, as we get some in-depth article about the man, his life, and his work. Enjoy !

Dans le cas présent, il est inutile d'écrire que Sylvain Rigaud est technique, fluide et stylé, vous vous en rendrez bien compte par vous-même en visionnant cet edit Remz, filmé au cours des deux dernières années et monté par les soins de notre ami Allan Beaulieu.
It often gets repetitive, if not boring, when one is asked to introduce a skater. In the present situation, Sylvain Rigaud is technical, fluid and stylish, but that's nothing you won't be able to notice for yourself when watching the following Remz profile, filmed and edited by friend Allan Beaulieu over the course of the two last years.

L'année 2008 a vu de nombreuses productions vidéos arriver dans les rayons de votre magasin favori, présentant les amateurs qui percent, des cascades à s'en décrocher la mâchoire, et les pros au sommet de leur art. Au milieu de tout cela, cependant, une icône désormais à la retraite a sorti un remarquable double DVD, sur sa vie à roulettes, et retraçant certaines des plus inoubliables figures et révolutions de l'histoire du patin. S'agissant de l'objet le plus intéressant que j'ai acquis l'année dernière, je n'ai pu résister et ai posé quelques questions à Dustin Latimer sur sa vie avec et sans roulettes, ainsi que sur le passé et le présent du patin : bonne lecture !

In the middle of all that though, a now retired icon has put out a remarkable double DVD set, going through his life on rollerblades, and retracing some of the most epic tricks and revolutions in rolling history. Being the most interesting skate item I bought last year, I couldn't resist asking Dustin Latimer a few questions about his life on and off the wheels, and the past and present of rolling : enjoy !

Le FISE n'est pas seulement un gros show avec les meilleurs athlètes internationaux dans chaque discipline qui font le voyage pour l'argent et la gloire des compétitions pros, mais aussi un événement grassroots qui n'a jamais renié la scène et ses amateurs, en faisant un des rendez-vous phare du patin. Un rendez-vous d'une semaine, avec des patineurs venant de toute l'Europe, et parfois bien plus loin. L'occasion parfaite pour nous de réunir nos troupes en un seul endroit, et de partager nos visions ainsi que de très bons moments.
The FISE is not only a big show with top athletes from all over the world competing for the big bucks and glory in the pro comps, but also a grassroots event that has never turned its back on the scene and its amateurs, making it one of the coolest core event as well. A week long reunion with rollerbladers coming from all over Europe, and sometimes further. The perfect occasion for us to gather our troops in one place, and share our visions and some really good moments altogether.

A New York, la pub est envahissante, une partie des pubs ne sont pourtant pas légales. C'est la spécialité d'une agence nommée NPA, qui propose aux annonceurs des affiches énormes à des endroits "non conventionnels". Parfois ils osent même ajouter à leur emplacement des haut parleurs afin d'améliorer leur pub.
In New York City, advertising is everywhere, even though a good part of it is not even legal. There's even an agency, called NPA, that sells huge commercial spots in "unconventionnal places" to their clients. Sometimes they also add speakers to make their ads more efficient.

Parfois, pour continuer à grandir il faut travailler à grande échelle, au lieu de se concentrer simplement sur les plus petites tâches. Pour aider le site à grandir, et étendre l’ensemble du staff Frenchy Fries, nous avons travaillé dur au cours de ces derniers mois, quand bien même cela n’est pas toujours visible.
Sometimes, to keep growing, you have to work things on a larger scale, instead of simply focusing on little tasks. To help the website grow, and expand the whole Frenchy Fries crew, we’ve been working hard in the past months, even though it doesn’t always show at first sight.
