Ils étaient partout, tout le temps, mais à présent les street contests ont presque totalement disparu, et nous pensons qu'il est grand temps de les remettre au goût du jour. Le Bling Bling contest voyage et tiendra sa quatrième édition Samedi prochain à Lille, au coeur même du quartier général Frenchy Fries. Il va sans dire que nous apportons notre soutien inconditionnel à cette initiative !

They used to be all over the place, every week-end or so, but now street contests have almost disappeared, and we think it's time to put them back on the map and celebrate, big time ! The Bling Bling contest will hold its fourth edition next Saturday in Lille (France), right next to the Frenchy Fries headquarters, so it goes without saying that we fully support the event !

Nous souciant de votre instruction, nous vous proposons parfois de vieilles bandes poussiéreuses sorties du grenier. Et bien c’est encore chose faite en ce début d’année 2010 avec ce montage qui regorge d’images autant rongées par le temps que rendues précieuses par une excitation nostalgique. C'est à peine si des fouilles archéologiques nous ont été nécessaires pour retrouver ces images datant de 2002 et 2003.

Since we care about your education here at Frenchy Fries, we sometimes come up with some old tapes straight off the attic. Well, we just did it again in 2010 with this never-seen-before edit that is full of clips which are as old as they are precious to a nostalgic mind actually. We almost had to undertake archeological researches to get those tapes from 2002 and 2003 back.

J'attendrai que le patin soit à nouveau populaire pour rester à la maison et attendre que les images des compétitions me parviennent grâce à Internet. En ces périodes sombres cependant, je ferai mon possible pour répondre à l'appel et me joindre à ces assemblées, parce qu'il y a bien bien trop peu d'événements pour ne pas essayer de paraître aussi soudés que notre communauté le permet.

I will wait until rollerblading is big again so I can just stay home and wait for the contests edits and photos to pop up on the Internet. Until then though, I will make it a point to come out and join the sporadic crowd, because there are far too few of these events to not stand as united as our community allows.

A 18h31 aujourd'hui, nous entrerons officiellement dans la saison du printemps longuement attendue. Dans quelques heures, nous en aurons fini avec ce rude hiver, et avec un peu de chance l'été arrivera bientôt, et avec lui les longues journées au soleil. C'est donc l'occasion rêvée de célébrer l'événement !

Today, around 6:31PM, we will officialy enter the long-awaited spring season. In a few hours, we will finally be done with this harsch winter and hopefully it won't be too long before we actually reach summer and enjoy long and warm sunny days. There probably couldn't be a better time to celebrate !

Je ne suis vraiment pas à la page en ce qui concerne les sons à la mode ces temps-ci, puisque je ne regarde pas la télévision ni n'écoute la radio. Cependant je sais reconnaître la bonne musique quand j'en ai l'occasion, et par un heureux coup du sort j'ai eu la chance de tomber sur ce projet expérimental baptisé Blakroc. Vraiment chanceux en réalité !

I'm really out of the loop when it comes to what's « hip » in the music game these days, as I barely watch TV nor listen to the radio. However I can recognize good music when I hear it, and I was lucky enough to get my hands on that experimental project entitled Blakroc by some sort of hazard. Really lucky indeed !

Après avoir ouvert le bal des compétitions avec le Winterclash comme chaque année, nous voici à nouveau sur les routes en direction du skate park Le Hangar à Nantes pour la 5ème édition du Gladiator contest (20 & 21 Mars). Pour fêter ensemble l'événement, nous avons décidé de vous offrir quelques petites surprises pour l'occasion !

After opening up this new season of contests with the Winterclash like every year, we're now heading to Le Hangar skate park in Nantes (FR) for the fifth edition of the Gladiator contest (March 20-21st), and to celebrate the event we worked even harder to offer you some extra goodies on this special occasion !
